Job Description
  Summary of Main Duties and Responsibilities To assess patient needs, plan, implement and evaluate the plan of patient care for the Pediatric patients in the Pediatric unit. Direct junior and auxiliary team members Provide safe quality ethical nursing care in accordance with the Hospital, international and federal standards and regulations   Actively participates in upholding and promoting the vision and culture of University Hospital Sharjah (UHS) Complies with all UHS policies, procedures and fire regulations Participates in all aspects of the International Accreditation program to assist UHS to attain and maintain international accreditation standards Performs nursing practice in line with the facility, MOH, JCI and FDON policies, procedures and standards Assess, plan, implements and evaluates the nursing care of each patient, considering the patient’s individuality, abilities, culture and right to choose Prioritizes patients’ individual needs and delegates aspects of nursing care to other nursing team members within his/her scope of professional practice  Performs nursing care in response to the patient’s needs, treatment plan and nursing care plan, supported by nursing knowledge and current best practice Assists physicians with examinations, procedures and other processes related to direct patient care Documents the nursing care of each patient from admission to discharge in accordance to facility medical record and documentation policy Assists and provides documented patient and family health education, based upon the individual nursing care plan of the patient Ensures patient environment is safe for patients and staff by utilizing infection control practices, adhering to International patient safety goals and following facility health and safety policies Collaborates with the Multi-disciplinary team and acts as patient advocate to ensure quality care is delivered Adhere to the safe administration of medication policy within the facility, administering prescribed medications, including narcotics as per scope of practice Monitors the condition of patient and reports any changes to appropriate personnel Demonstrates sensitivity to patients’ comfort and privacy and expresses interest in their progress Utilizes and ensures maintenance of equipment and instruments, reporting any damages, equipment malfunctioning to the Bio – Medical department and nurse in charge immediately Participates in nursing continuous quality improvement initiatives, in service education programs, unit meetings and committee functions as assigned by nurse in charge Initiates emergency, safety practices and fire safety measures as necessary Reports all incidents through agreed channels and chain of command, ensuring Incident report is completed, submitted to nurse in charge and any immediate action required taken Maintains unit stock/consumables, crash cart stock, in accordance with facility policy on medication expiry dates and safe location of consumable items Maintains and adheres to patient confidentiality at all times Responsible for attendance to yearly mandatory training as scheduled on mandatory training calendar Responsible for professional clinical practice and is actively involved in updating knowledge through educational activities Performs other job-related duties as assigned (within scope of practice) The employment terms and conditions for this position are specified in the individuals Employment Contract   Position Requirements/Qualifications   Required Graduate of an accredited school of nursing holding a BSc Nursing /Diploma of Nursing, not less than 3 years study duration Minimum 2 years post-graduation experience with at least 1 years in current specialty (Pediatric) BLS certificate   Desirable PALS certificate   Licenses/Registration Required Current license in country of origin UAE Ministry of Health License   Position criteria 2 years post graduate experience  Computer literate familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel Must be fluent in written and spoken English, spoken Arabic an advantage   Advantage Previous UAE experience experience in a commissioning environment experience of working in International accredited hospital (JCIA) Participated in Preceptors/Education programs

Job Description
Position Summary  Female Anesthesia Specialist is required with valid MOH license. Being one of the clinical roles within the Clinical Services of the hospital, the position will require a person who has practiced for at least 3 years of Clinical Experience Beyond Completion of Internship, a minimum 3 years after the master or directly after the Board or equivalent.  It is a pivotal role in the establishment of services at the hospital to ensure services are at an International standard and to meet and exceed accreditation standards. The Doctor should obtain the appropriate evaluation/License.  Summary of Main Duties and Responsibilities Admitting patients to hospital under the supervision of the consultant and ensuring that full admission documentation            (history and physical, Admission note and initial integrated plan) are recorded. Initiating appropriate investigations. Ordering treatments and medications. Liaising with Non-Clinical/Clinical staff. Conducting ward rounds at least once daily and as appropriate and if required with the consultant. Preparing for and participating in consultant/senior staff rounds. Keeping daily records of inpatient progress. Attending specified clinics. Following up patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Following up the results of investigations and adjusting patient treatment/management accordingly. Preparing patients for procedures or surgery, where applicable. Obtaining patients informed consent. Performing invasive procedures/surgery, under the supervision of consultant and in accordance with privileges. Receiving calls and seeing patients from the Emergency Department and specialty clinics. Receiving calls and consultation requests from other departments or hospitals. Seeing patients referred for consultation. Maintaining a good working relationship and professional conduct with all members of the staff and hospital staff. Providing on call coverage on a rotational basis during evenings, nights, weekends, and Public Holidays, as required and may be required to do in-house on-call. Maintaining and completing appropriate medical records for all patients in a timely fashion. Participating in medical staff conferences, meetings and serve on hospital committees, as requested. Carrying out the duties and responsibilities detailed in any department specific job description or statement of roles and responsibilities.  Assuming other duties as assigned by the consultant/department chief.  Participate in Quality improvement activities meeting JCI & regulatory requirements.  Implementing clinical pathway/Guideline or applicable. Position Requirements/Qualifications  Licenses/Registration Required American Specialty Board or equivalent in accordance with MOH requirements. 3 year experience following board certification in an active, acute care accredited institution or equivalent.   Required   UAE Ministry of Health License/ Valid license in UAE

It's an honor to welcome the Clinical Affairs Department delegates of Dubai Police, His Excellency Major Dr. Abdullah Al-Linjawi, Head of Department and the First Deputy. Khaled Noureddine. In presence of Dr. Ali Obaid Al Ali, Chief Executive Officer of University Hospital Sharjah. Visitors checked out the hospital facilities, different Centers of Excellence and various specialties clinics that have been recently added. This visit is a prelude toa joint cooperation between the two sides in order to provide excellent health services.
