Position Summary   Being one of the clinical roles within the Clinical Services of the hospital, the position will require a person who has practiced for at least 5 years after a post highest education qualifications and who has had international healthcare and academic experience.  It is a pivotal role in the establishment of services at the hospital to ensure services are at an International standard and to meet and exceed accreditation standards. The Doctor should obtain the appropriate evaluation/License.   Summary of Main Duties and Responsibilities Admitting patients to hospital and ensuring that full admission documentation (history and physical, Admission note and initial integrated plan) are recorded. Ordering treatments and medications. Initiating appropriate investigations. Liaising with Non-clinical/Clinical staff. Conducting ward rounds at least once daily and as appropriate. Preparing for and participating in consultant/specialist rounds. Keeping daily records of inpatient progress. Attending specified clinics. Following up patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Following up the results of investigations and adjusting patient treatment/management accordingly. Preparing patients for procedures or surgery, where applicable. Obtaining patients informed consent or applicable. Performing invasive procedures/surgery in accordance with privileges. Receiving calls and seeing patients from the Emergency Department and specialty clinics. Receiving calls and consultation requests from other departments or hospitals. Seeing patients referred for consultation. Maintaining a good working relationship and professional conduct with all members of the staff and hospital staff. Providing on call coverage on a rotational basis during evenings, nights, weekends, and Public Holidays, as required. Maintaining and completing appropriate medical records for all patients in a timely fashion. Participating in medical staff conferences, meetings and serve on hospital Committees, as requested. Assuming other duties as may be assigned by the department head. Carrying out the duties and responsibilities detailed in any department specific job description or statement of roles and responsibilities. Participation in administration and compliance with JCI procedures and regulatory requirements. Encourage multi-disciplinary teamwork Disseminate and implement hospital’s policies & procedures. Participate in Quality improvement activities meeting JCI & regulatory requirements. Implementing clinical pathway/Guideline or applicable. Position Requirements/Qualifications   Licenses/Registration Required American Specialty Board/CCT UK or equivalent in accordance with MOH Table of Equivalency. 5 year’s clinical experience post certification in the appropriate specialty, in an active, acute care accredited institution or equivalent. Summary of Main Duties and\ Responsibilities.   Install and configure new workstations, peripherals and software in addition to the IP phone services. Provide support for workstations hardware and software and peripherals. Organize the IT equipment cables in a structured way at the user desk or in the IDF/MDF rooms. Participate in setting hardware specifications according to work requirements in adherence to budgetary constraints. Participate in evaluating IT hardware/Software related bids. Provide prompt assistance in urgent situations. Provide timely assistance to users in their locations. Maintain workstations hardware including monitors, keyboard and printers Evaluate the status of hardware and software in use and provide related reports for upgrade, update, replace, or dispose purposes. Coordinate, follow up and monitor maintenance work covered by third-party vendor maintenance agreements. Organize, prioritize and complete computing support requests; direct or those routed by helpdesk. Update all users’ applications with the latest service packs & patches when needed Ensure that antivirus software is up, regularly updated and functioning on all workstations properly. Provide workstation and peripheral hardware preventive maintenance. Provide orientation for users on the use of their H/W, S/W and Network accessibility. Stay up to date with technological trends related to hospital IT environment. Provide services in a customer-friendly approach. Participate actively in the quality improvement program of the department/unit. Perform other related duties as assigned. Position Requirements/Qualifications Minimum diploma degree in computer-related. Computer maintenance professional certificates are highly preferable. A minimum of 3 years of proven experience in large organizations as IT support technician, preferably in hospitals. Solid experience in Windows platform support. Experience in supporting windows based applications. Familiarity with networking principles. Good analysis and troubleshooting skills to identify and report software problems. preferably knowledge in IP phone services. Excellent communication skills. Other Skills/Abilities Ability to organize, prioritizes, and manage multiple work tasks with minimum supervision. Ability to work in a team environment. Maintain confidentiality of all data he/she may find in users workstations. Demonstrate courtesy, kindness and empathy to patients, co-workers, visitors and subordinate staff at all times. Hospital experience preferred. Good experience in Red Hat platform is a plus.  

Position Summary To be responsible for all collection of venous blood, urine, or any body fluids from all patients as and when required by the clinicians with full knowledge of Laboratory Information System (LIS) in addition to optimal knowledge of names and lists of various laboratory tests name. To be responsible to follow hospital policy and procedure for disposable of sharps and other hazardous waste.  Any accidentals with sharp must be immediately reported to the Safety Officer and hospital quality department. To follow and comply with all policies and procedures written within the Department of Pathology Laboratory pertaining to their work areas. Summary of Main Duties and Responsibilities. Position Summary   Responsible for performance of all laboratory-based tasks, which include patients sampling, testing, measuring, recording and analyzing results in various patient specimens.  They also provide all the required technical support to enable the laboratory to function effectively whilst adhering to correct and proper policies and procedures, lab health and safety guideline to achieve high quality results.   Summary of Main Duties and Responsibilities.   Assist the Laboratory Director in the coordination of laboratory activities. Provide accurate, timely and cost-effective testing of patient samples to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease in compliance and harmony with the quality management system. The Lab Technologist has no supervisory responsibility. LAB PROCEDURES: Performs a variety of technical laboratory procedures according to policies and procedures of the UHS and UHS Laboratory to obtain patient’s specimens and to ensure specimen quality used to aid in the diagnosis. Perform laboratory tests in various laboratory section like sample receiving, biochemistry, haematology, blood bank, microbiology & molecular. DOCUMENTATION: Has full knowledge in using LIS/HIS to be responsible for accurately completing records and reports and other statistical information for master files or databases. Follows laboratory policy for data retrieval, record keeping, specimen identification and reporting. COMMUNICATION/TEAMWORK: Maintains positive working relationship with the lab staff, medical staff and hospital personnel. Uses positive interpersonal skills to educate/support lab customers and promote success of team members. Uses clear and concise verbal and written communication with staff and the public. Acts independently on accomplishing lab tasks and accepts responsibility of the adopted policy and procedures of the hospital and the laboratory. Shares call duty and works different shifts as required. QUALITY CONTROL/QUALITY IMPROVEMENT: Participates in IQC/EQC/QI for area of specialty and Lab indicators. Does not report patient results unless quality control data are within accepted parameters. Recognizes out of control values, takes corrective action, and notifies others of changes mainly seniors and/or laboratory director. SAFETY, TRAINING AND EDUCATION: Complies with laboratory safety procedures. Possesses adequate knowledge of instrumentation, theory, and application of new and existing tests. Completes education necessary to maintain MOH licensure or certification for the job annual renewal. PROBLEM SOLVING/CRITICAL THINKING: Assumes responsibility to resolve problems. Performs required maintenance procedures in laboratory instrumentation. Investigates and resolves technical problems i.e. troubleshooting, consults supervisor if resolution involves policy or procedure modification. Identifies real or potential situations or equipment failure, attempts to resolve within area of specialty or knowledge and refers complex issues to appropriate source. Work and liaise with consultant pathologist, Specialty Pathologist, Senior Technologists of other lab sections, nurses and medical staff to maintain the highest professional standards. Participate in training, CME and seminars. Perform analyzer’s quality control, calibration, maintenance, troubleshooting & corrective action as trained. Follows the laboratory safety policies and participates in safety education programs. Will retain all necessary registration/license requirements Self-development participate in internal orientation, mandatory, ongoing CME and education programs. Attend external conferences, workshops, seminars and courses that will enhance and maintain a current knowledge base Works any shift as per the duty roster of the Pathology and Laboratory Department when designated. Position Summary Responsible and accountable for prescribing, delegating and coordinating the nursing care provided to both in patient and Out Patients for wound and ostomy care within the context of the organizational nursing service. Summary of Main Duties and Responsibilities Actively participates in upholding and promoting the vision and culture of University Hospital Sharjah (UHS) Ensures nursing is practiced in accordance with professional standards, in line with facility, MOH, JCI, FDON policies, procedures and guidelines. Adheres to established medical/nursing practice standards and hospital policies and procedures. Consult on the following classification of wounds: Pressure Ulcer, Diabetic foot, venous ulcer, Traumatic wounds, Arterial ulcer, open abdominal wounds, burns and other complex non-healing wounds. Manage the outpatient wound and diabetic foot clinic. Manage all wound care consultations and educational support to inpatients and outpatients and their families/carers, regarding their wound care needs. Implement plans to prevent pressure ulcers and other wound developments. Initiate nursing care plans and procedures in managing acute, chronic and complex wounds. Evaluate wounds and injuries for infections or other illness factors contributing to wound development and provide recommendation for treatment. Assess, reassess and plan treatment pathway for all notified wounds. Provide appropriate patient/family/care giver education throughout the patient episode, including comprehensive discharge planning advice. Assess, collaborate and coordinate discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge with other members of the MDT. Assess and recommend treatment requirements and plans with all members of the MDT. In consultation with general surgery provide siting recommendation and pre –op and post op counseling for stoma patients. Act as a resource to staff for wound product selection and use. Act as an educational resource to all members of the MDT on the management of wound care. Provide up to date education and guidance to the nursing department, in both a practical clinical setting and teaching environment, including education in the monthly general nursing orientation programme, and comprehensive bedside teaching. Develop related patient education material. Develop and assess nursing competency in the field of wound care. Develop wound care link nurse programme. Lead performance improvement projects on the management of hospital acquired pressure ulcers and their prevention. Supply monthly reports and data analysis on agreed wound care related KPIs. Develop an integrated wound care committee, focusing on the prevention of hospital acquired pressure ulcers and the management of community acquired ulcers. Monitor and measure the appropriate use of the hospital approved pressure relieving devices. Responsible for the yearly budget proposal for all pressure relieving devices and wound care aids within the facility. Develop and maintain evidence based wound care policies, guidelines and procedures. Provide all requested and required monthly reports associated to the Wound care specialist nurse activities. Develop and maintain community links with associated agencies (Sharjah Social Welfare, Aged Care Home, private home care agencies) to increase awareness, educate and monitor community acquired pressure ulcers. Provide comprehensive patient specific wound care discharge plans to community agencies, including equipment requirements. Provide follow up to all patients discharged from UHS with wounds, with community agencies/families etc… Participates in Senior Nursing Team meetings Participates in nursing continuous quality improvement initiatives, in service education programmes and committee functions as assigned by DON. Prepares and submits statistical data as specified by DON. Maintains accurate documentation in accordance with the medical record policy. Completed post graduate study in Wound Care management, from a recognized approved school. Desirable Masters in wound care from approved school.
