Weight-loss surgeries known as bariatric surgery involve making changes to your digestive system to help you lose weight. At UHS, we offer outstanding surgical outcomes and superior expertise in the treatment of obesity and all its related health problems.
Diet and exercise are the first option for obesity and reducing weight; however, if they fail to provide suitable outcomes, weight-loss surgery can be the appropriate procedure to help those people lose weight and improve their health condition.
Why it's done?
Bariatric surgeries help you lose excess weight and reduce your risk of potentially weight-related health problems as:

- Sleep apnea
- Type 2 diabetes
- High cholesterol
While bariatric surgery can offer many benefits, all weight-loss surgery are major procedures that can also pose risks and side effects.
