UHS Demonstrates Its Expertise With Successful Neurosurgery For Rare Lesion

In line with its vision to offer world-class healthcare services, the University Hospital Sharjah performed a successful neurosurgery for a rare type of bone tumor in the skull known as ‘Osteoid Osteoma.’ The procedures were carried out by experts from neurosurgery, as well as plastic surgery. The 61-year-old patient had presented with a two-centimeter-long painful swelling on her forehead. As the diagnostic procedures progressed, it was discovered that the lesion was both internal and external.
